Cali. Browser makers will have to ‘offer users an opt out signal’ that tells websites not to sell or share their info as they browse. Takes effect 2027.

Sponsored by the Cali Privacy Protection Agency, as well as other privacy groups, including EFF and Brave, and Mozilla.

Instead of users having to set this privacy protection on every site they visit, they will have a single toggle to keep their data protected.
