DeFlock.me is an organization that is mapping all the 80k Flock cameras in the US, installed by law enforcement mostly, using citizens money, to spy on them. ‘We need to watch the watchers.’ They want to create a transparent searchable database of their surveillance.
The ‘brave’ level is for people to go to their government office and use FOIA to get a copy of the contract or agreement the city or law enforcement has with Flock or whatever surveillance company. FOIA is federal, but almost all states have passed their own state one that lets citizens of the states do the same with non federal government. And the policy and procedure manuals government and law enforcement (sheriff's office or state police) have for use of automated licence plate readers. The vlogger created a template anyone can use to make their FOIA request.

Commenter. 'A Flock executive, (I think it was the CEO), was interviewed. He claimed on camera that DeFlock was a terrorist organization, for watching his company. Hypocrisy in the biggest sense.'
In some locations already there are class actions against the state for their use of Flock, which constitutes an unreasonable warrentless search of every driver there, they allege. The result will be appealed and eventually will be at the Supreme Court.
Flock cameras can become a liability. (Legal burden.)
Brave level is to use FOIA to request data on your public officials vehicles (mayor, state legistlators, police chief, councilmembers), especially those that support surveillance.
Americans are supposed to know almost everything about their government, that is why they are called public service, and they are supposed to know next to nothing about people, that is why they are called private citizens.
Commenter. ‘The reason WE are entitled to film POLICE is that there is no expectation of privacy in public places. Your whereabouts being tracked is a whole other story. So the issue isn’t about “consent” to be filmed, it’s about we not demanding that our electeds prevent the tracking of us. Police, at least (in theory) require a warrant, corporations, not. We need to demand prohibition of corporate tracking.’

There are a few social hero’s called the Bladerunners, who happen to be in the right place at the right time, to document “spontaneous fall-overs” of the camera posts… Maybe such a group may wish to document similar spontaneous events around the US.’
