By error, people's passports are flagged as ‘lost or stolen’ by Interpol. They take off fine, but when they arrive at a new country they're not allowed to enter the country and are detained until they're back on US soil. The guy in the video, his new passport was flagged as lost before he even received it. Technically, the only person who can flag it as lost or stolen is the passport owner, and he didn't do that.
