70 agencies is a lot of labor devoted to arresting a couple hundred people who paid people to send them nude videos. The story didn't mention any other crimes except receiving nudes, so we can assume there was no actual crime of force or anything like that. Literally, all this work, including using the big guns the FBI. Also referred to it as ‘coercing’ people into sending them nudes, and no comment on how people try to find buyers for their nudes.
It seems likely that the actual arrests were probably made for things that didn't actually even involve people, since that's how these cases usually happen over the past 10 or 20 years. Rather, law agents pretend to be children, seek out people and test them and usually entice them to commit something illegal. As I've said before, this makes it easier, because then they don't have to deal with the other actual person, which complicates the blame situation.
