Young people being violent and organized. Seeing it in the news lately. Not sure if it's just my feed or what.
People will say it's the economy, the rich and the poor, and that's part of it, as it relates to contentedness and purpose and hope, but for years things have been getting so negative, and all the hopeful spots just evaporate, destroyed by the most powerful entities like the main governments and their agencies, the biggest corporations who swallow all the small ones and the courts don't protect society from them. Where is a good country to go? There isn't really one anymore. Maybe Argentina. What's the good job to do? Does anyone really value it if you do any good, traditional thing, like produce something of use for society, or have children or a family, or treat others with courtesy? It's been a while since we've seen anything like punishing the rude, inconsiderate, opportunistic, manipulative people, whether politicians, CEOs, YouTubers, whatever. And since we don't have civics, adults never had any learning in those areas and are helpless and ridiculous.
‘I’d like to have a law like that' is something people might remember we can say in a society. If artists don't want corporations to just take all their work for AI models, you can say that. If you don't want politicians to spend without any limits, you can say that.
15 years ago, you could go on the internet and find all kinds of cool things, things people were thinking about, were writing about, were doing. Now I go on, I look (at the only remaining places which are a couple of supergiant SM platforms), don't find anything, and disconnect from the internet and try to find some old thing to look at. Hollywood is lame, TV shows there are no new writers. They charge anyone (male, who are the main doers) with sexual interest if they get any success, even decades later. Why would anyone do anything like crawl out of their little shell?
People used to make love when they went out of their house. Now they just go to the gym. Because it's the only thing left to them where they won't get attacked. It's the least problematic.
