"Am I 'the bimbo,' Jeff?" Fairfax County board chair condemned for using slur | NBC4 Washington (youtube.com)

Is this why people think women shouldn't be in any office? A man calls another man words much worse than that, and the recipient will say something back or maybe throw an insult back. This woman making a stink has cost how many hours of work for the board, the school board, courts, lawyers, news agencies, media platforms, and viewers? Thousands, right?

The man was calling out the woman (directly to her, though) for using her newsletter to call out other staff members.

He didn't even call her 'bimbo' publicly, it seems. He sent it privately in a text to someone else who sent it to her.

He issued a boilerplate 'apology' statement with legal language.

It would be different if he called her something, publicly, wihch if true would have serious consequences for her, and we would have some cause for her making a scene.

Maybe we need a public serious panel with public participation to designate words and their consequences, if we're going to have to be saddled with this work all time time.

'Bimbo' is probably not the word he wanted to use. It is about the nicest, least offensive term you can use for a woman when you're upset with her. Are we going to only be able to use the word 'idiot'?

Overall, the effect of all this (the whole thing, not just this waste of everyone's energy), might be just that men stop wanting to (or being even able to) treat women well, which was a big part of our Western culture, and set it apart from a most of other places. ... I've been voicing intentional moderation of the male backlash against feminist abuse of men, for years, but it starts to wear down the will for it, or it just stops making any sense to do.

Is this also why women often can't have friends. Like many women say its not possible to have woman friends. And some women just have guy friends. Is it only possible to have friends if you (like men traditionally are expected to) handle their own things, while many women constantly try to enlist any friend as a tool to use against other women (and other people who disagree with her or threaten her comfort)? I'm not sure I've met many manupulative men, or men who try to expect other people to do things for them.
