‘The Great Deumbening’ a headline I saw. I would guess that move started really in the 90s, I guess with the Simpsons and then it spread hard into TV and films, commercials, talkshow hosts, etc. I mean, it was always funny, court jesters, Charlie Chaplin, but as a cultural aspiration, I don't think anyone tried to be that way until after then 90s. Before that we were making fun of stupidity. Is ‘dumbening’ the same effect as de-masculining, but from social liberalim and inclusionism (of other races etc) instead of feminism?
