Ghana joins Zambia, Zimbabwe in rejecting US health deal over sovereignty concerns (youtube.com)

Is US P2P waning?

US wants Ghana to take over systems that had been run by US-contracted NGOs.

The deal breaker is the privacy concerns. Sharing control of data, resources, and health care decisions with US authorities, which directly violate the Data Protection Act and the Public Health Act of Ghana.

'What is making [the US] ask for health data? That is something we should look into.' Other Ghanians say that as long as they receive health aid they should share data.
