Here, it seems Patel might be saying that three ‘federal courts’ have prevented him from releasing other information. What courts? He stated that ‘everything [he] has direct control over and can lawfully release’ he has released, and he stressed the ‘and can lawfully release' part. Since he avoided making any statements for the most part, him actually making a statement here might be indicative.
Patel also said that the lawmaker currently challenging Patel could have shown up to file the court to release the court orders (which prevent the release of information) but the lawmaker didn't do that, even though he has lawyers. This might be one of the key points here, although somewhat ignored. That no one wants to go for truth or whatever while their party is in office. Patel is right in throwing this at them, because they plenty of time to do the hard but effective thing of saying they wanted info released while their guy was in office, and never did. Why should Patel be the martry to go against his own guys now? Well, it isn't for everyone to be a martyr.
